Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and now living in St. Augustine, Florida, Russell's journey began with his enlistment in 2003 and culminated in his retirement from the Marine Corps as a Major in 2023. His military career included deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and leadership roles commanding up to 250 Marines, all of which laid the foundation for his approach to project and project risk management. A brain tumor survivor, Russell's resilience is reflected in his professional pursuits. He holds a Master's in Transportation and Logistics Management, complemented by the PMP, PMI-ACP, PMI-RMP, and LSSBB certifications. His passion for risk management is evident in his company's name, Forty-Four Risk PM, LLC, and his "Stay Proactive Over Reactive" mantra. Russell's company, Forty-Four Risk PM, LLC, a Disabled Veteran Owned Company, is dedicated to the growth of aspiring and new project managers. He offers education, coaching, and mentorship, including small classroom PMP courses with post-certification support.
