Ben Chan

Ben Chan is a Project Management Leadership Coach who helps transform overwhelmed, stressed-out project managers into confident, strategic project leaders who are better equipped to overcome their challenges and advance their careers. His introspective approach has helped many project managers thrive and discover their best path to success! Ben has over 20 years of industry consulting experience in various industries, including Fintech, Banking, Energy, Government, Software, and many more. Even within all these industries, he's led various project types, such as Strategy Development, Software Implementation, Business Process Improvement, and more! His drive and unique approach to project delivery have made him a highly sought-after coach and project leader. Over his career, he noticed a gap in support for project managers, which has driven him to provide coaching support to more project managers so that they can be more resilient, confident, and ultimately more successful. In addition to his work, he is an instructor on Project Leadership at the University of Minnesota and volunteers as a mentor for the Canadian Centre for Advanced Leadership (CCAL). He also hosts the project leadership-focused podcast Organized Chaos Café and volunteered as a former VP of Professional Development for PMI Southern Alberta Chapter (SAC). Ben graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and holds certifications for Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional Engineer (P.Eng), Agile Scrum Master (ASM), and Certified Management Consultant (CMC). His past speaking engagements on project leadership topics have included presentations at PMI chapters including Coastal Bend, Orange County, Houston, Pittsburgh, Baton Rouge, North Saskatchewan, Northern and Southern Alberta, and many more.
